There will be multiple Secondary Reading, Math, Creative Arts, and Creative Writing (Grades 6- 12) position(s) available for the Summer Intervention Academy Program 2024 (SIA '24) at Olentangy Hyatts Middle School, Monday through Thursday, June 10-20, 2024 (Session 1) and July 15-25 (Session 2) from 8:00 AM-12:00 PM (8;30-11:30 AM with students). There will be no session on June 19, 2024. Teacher licensure required; experience working with students with moderate to intensive disabilities and knowledge of the Ohio Academic Content Standards-Extended; and attend a mandatory planning session from 8:00 AM-12:00 PM (date to be determined). Applicants may apply for one or both sessions.
Salary: Session 1: 4 hours x 7 days = 28 hours = $1,260; Session 2: 4 hours x 8 days = 32 hours = $1,440
Internal candidates (currently employed by the Olentangy Local School District) must submit an internal online application in Applicant Tracking.
External candidates must submit an external online application in Applicant Tracking and complete an online Teacher Candidate Assessment. In addition, a letter of interest and current resume must be uploaded within the Attachments section of the application. Applicants may revisit their online application at any time to make necessary additions or changes.
The online Teacher Candidate Assessment is sent via a link under separate email cover. On occasion, the email may end up in junk or spam mail. If so, the link will be titled “Do Not Reply” with the subject “Regarding your Olentangy Local Schools application”. Keep in mind that the assessment is a timed assessment, so please set aside approximately 45 minutes of uninterrupted time before you begin the process. Once the assessment is started, it must be completed.
