There will be an Secondary English Language Learners (Grades 6-12 English/Language Arts) position(s) available for the Summer English Language Learners Program 2024 (ELL '24) at Orange High School, Monday through Thursday, June 10-27 from 8:00 AM-12:00 PM, except June 19 due to the federal holiday. The program is designed to serve ELL immigrant youth students in the Olentangy Local School District via small group instruction. The program is fully funded by Title III federal grant funds and provides support to English learners that have been in the United States for less than three (3) years.

Salary: $45 per hour with paid planning time built into the program. Orton-Gillingham Credentialed Teachers/Tutors: $45/hour Classroom Educator; $60/hour Associate; $75/hour Certified; and $90/hour Fellow with paid planning time built into the program.

Internal candidates (currently employed by the Olentangy Local School District) must submit an internal online application in Applicant Tracking.

External candidates must submit an external online application in Applicant Tracking and complete an online Teacher Candidate Assessment. In addition, a letter of interest and current resume must be uploaded within the Attachments section of the application. Applicants may revisit their online application at any time to make necessary additions or changes.

The online Teacher Candidate Assessment is sent via a link under separate email cover. On occasion, the email may end up in junk or spam mail. If so, the link will be titled “Do Not Reply” with the subject “Regarding your Olentangy Local Schools application”. Keep in mind that the assessment is a timed assessment, so please set aside approximately 45 minutes of uninterrupted time before you begin the process. Once the assessment is started, it must be completed.
